Why Nizwa students
Nizwa is in Ad Dakhiliyah, a long drive from Muscat, so families here often have fewer subject specialists close by. IB Physics lessons work from your child's HL or SL course, recent assessments and internal assessment deadlines, and are scheduled in Oman time. See all online tutors in Nizwa.
Tell us the examination board, syllabus code, current level and topics requiring support. We will review your requirements and check which Physics tutor is suitable before confirming lessons.
Exam boards we cover
HL Physics is the standard route for Oman IB Diploma students targeting top medicine, engineering or quantitative university courses. Heavier content and a more demanding internal assessment.
SL Physics suits Nizwa Diploma students keeping a balanced six-subject load. Same internal assessment framework, lighter syllabus depth.
Syllabus coverage
Our IB Physics tutors cover the full specification with extra depth on the topics where Nizwa students most consistently lose marks.

Ideal gases, thermodynamics and entropy.
SHM, wave behaviour, standing waves and Doppler effect.
Fields, circuits, electromagnetic induction and AC.
Atomic models, radioactivity, fission and fusion.
Power generation, efficiency and environmental impact.
Research question, methodology, uncertainties and evaluation.
IB Paper 1, 2 and 3 mark-scheme drilling.

How we fix it:Weekly trips to Muscat for Physics are rarely practical from Nizwa. Online lessons let us match by course, not by distance.
How we fix it:Tutors use past Physics papers and mark schemes to show where marks are won and lost, then practise those question types.
How we fix it:Physics lessons can shift around Ramadan timings, Eid, the November National Day holidays and mock weeks, without any travel.

Mrs Fatma Al Hinai, parent
IB Physics · Nizwa Modern School (Cambridge bilingual) · Ad Dakhiliyah, Nizwa
My daughter sat IB Physics at Nizwa Modern School's Cambridge stream. The mock-week prep and examiner-report drilling lifted her two grades before the real paper.
Mr Mohammed Al Riyami, parent
IB Physics · Nizwa Private School (Cambridge) · accepted to Sultan Qaboos University, Muscat
Running the family stall at Nizwa Souq, I could not drive my son to Muscat for Physics tutors. Online in Oman time around Ramadan changed that.
Dr Salim Al Mahrouqi, University of Nizwa
IB Physics · PDO School Nizwa · University of Nizwa preparatory pathway
As a University of Nizwa faculty parent, I wanted examiner-level Physics support without the 150km Muscat commute. Combo Tutors delivered exactly that.
Sarah M.
Parent of IB Student · London
My daughter was struggling with IB Mathematics HL and had almost given up hope of getting a 7. After just two months of weekly sessions with her Combo Tutors tutor, her confidence soared and she went from a predicted 4 to a final grade of 6. The personalised approach made all the difference—her tutor identified exactly where the gaps were and worked through them systematically.
James P.
Parent of A-Level Student · Manchester
My son started tutoring for A-Level Physics about three months before his exams. His tutor was incredibly patient and broke down complex topics like electromagnetic induction into simple, intuitive steps. He ended up getting an A* which we genuinely didn't think was possible. I'd recommend Combo Tutors to any parent who wants a tutor that actually cares about your child's progress.
Priya K.
Parent of GCSE Student · Birmingham
We needed help with GCSE Science for my son who found chemistry particularly challenging. His tutor made the sessions engaging and relatable—using real-world examples that finally made reactions and bonding click for him. He improved by two grades and, more importantly, actually enjoys science now.
