How we fix it:Driving to Muscat for Calculus lessons mid-week is not workable from Sur. Online lessons give students a wider choice of specialists from home.
How we fix it:Tutors use past Calculus papers and mark schemes to show where marks are won and lost, then practise those question types.
How we fix it:Calculus lessons can shift around Ramadan timings, Eid, the November National Day holidays and mock weeks, without any travel.

Mrs Fatma Al Hashar, parent
AP Calculus · Sur International School (SUIS) · Ash Sharqiyah South · SQU offer
We are an Omani family in Sur and my daughter needed Cambridge Calculus support that understood SUIS, not a generic UK tutor. Her AP grade moved from a C to an A* in two terms, and she has now accepted a place at Sultan Qaboos University.
Mr Vinod Krishnan, Oman LNG engineer
AP Calculus · Sur Private School · Oman LNG family · Grade 9
I work 12-hour shifts at the Qalhat LNG plant, so a tutor who could schedule Calculus around my rota and the Oman Ramadan timetable was non-negotiable. My son went from a 6 to a 9 in AP Calculus at Sur Private School.
Mr Imran Pasha, Oman LNG contractor
AP Calculus · Ahmed A., SUIS Year 13 → SQU Petroleum Engineering · Sur, Ash Sharqiyah South
Living in Sur, driving to Muscat for an A-Level Calculus specialist was never realistic. Combo Tutors gave us a Cambridge examiner online, in Oman time, around Renaissance Day and the LNG-contractor calendar. My son is now reading Petroleum Engineering at SQU.

Parent of IB Student · London
My daughter was struggling with IB Mathematics HL and had almost given up hope of getting a 7. After just two months of weekly sessions with her Combo Tutors tutor, her confidence soared and she went from a predicted 4 to a final grade of 6. The personalised approach made all the difference—her tutor identified exactly where the gaps were and worked through them systematically.
James P.
Parent of A-Level Student · Manchester
My son started tutoring for A-Level Physics about three months before his exams. His tutor was incredibly patient and broke down complex topics like electromagnetic induction into simple, intuitive steps. He ended up getting an A* which we genuinely didn't think was possible. I'd recommend Combo Tutors to any parent who wants a tutor that actually cares about your child's progress.
Priya K.
Parent of GCSE Student · Birmingham
We needed help with GCSE Science for my son who found chemistry particularly challenging. His tutor made the sessions engaging and relatable—using real-world examples that finally made reactions and bonding click for him. He improved by two grades and, more importantly, actually enjoys science now.
